Making Simple Stuffed Chicken Breast
Being a Fancy Cook with almost no effort!
The art of making simple stuffed chicken breast can make any meal special. However, let’s face it, stuffed chicken breast is a lot of prep work. We usually leave this type of cooking to trained chefs at those fancy restaurants. But we have a secret!!!
Why Stuffed Chicken?
Many cooks like to “feel” special by constructing elaborate recipes. A simple stuffed chicken breast meal is a perfect way to show off your cooking skills. Perhaps the best part of stuffed chicken recipes is choosing what goes inside. The combinations are almost endless. Here are a few of our favorites.
- Ham & Swiss Cheese (Chicken Cordon Bleu)
- Spinach & Feta Cheese (Mediterranean Chicken)
- Avocado & Pico de gallo (Southwest Chicken)
- Basil, Tomato & Provolone (Italian Chicken)
Why not Stuffed Chicken?
By default, we are lazy cooks in our chicken. We do not require eye appeal and instead focus on great flavor. When it comes to a simple stuffed chicken breast meal, we skip all the effort. We prefer easier methods of cooking chicken like frying, baking, and grilling. We feel there are far better ways of incorporating any of the “stuffed” ingredients listed above into a delicious dinner.

Our Simple Stuffed Chicken Breast Secret
Many of the specialty grocery stores and smaller markets feature premade uncooked stuffed chicken. Buy it, take it home, cook it. Your family and guests think you are a great cook! Several mainstream grocery stores are starting to offer simple stuffed chicken breast options in their meat department too. Word of warning, though. The stores tend to “under stuff” their chicken. We have been known to deconstruct their pre-made chicken and add more ingredients. (Remember, we prefer flavor over eye appeal)
